It was very clean and a lovely place to eat. Food quality was good and the selection of sauces were very neat and clean. Loved eating there and will be coming back again soon.

Always our-go-to while visiting Auburn, California. Not much has changed over the years. The folks that own Sum’s Mongolian Barbecue Restaurant have always been accommodating, friendly and served fresh food. Watching the chef’s prepare our selected dinner and cook it over the giant Mongolian barbecue stone is always a sight to see. The atmosphere really hasn’t changed over the years, still cozy and down to earth. We couldn’t give a five for the food because it seemed like the vegetables were a little sparse this time. Overall, the experience was a five because during our visit we had the opportunity to watch the The Canyons Endurance Run by UTMB!!! So if you come eat at Sum’s Mongolian Barbecue Restaurant, you never know what you’re gonna find happening in Auburn. It’s a great little town with huge personality! Places like Sum’s Mongolian barbecue restaurant is what makes Auburn such a great place to visit!!

Sums has been such a staple for the community. They have made sure to keep their food consistency a priority. We have been going to sums for years and they are by far the best Mongolian bbq around. The owner is more than willing to hear any suggestions that customers have and is so warm and inviting. This is a local family run business that does everything they can to provide delicious food to their community. We are very happy to support and continue going to Sums.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for years. I’m so happy they survived covid. -The staff is always very friendly and you never wait for anything. -The dining room could use a makeover, but it’s always very clean and it adds to the charm. -If you don’t finish your first bowl you can take it home. This makes for great leftovers. (The cooks love when you drop a dollar or two in the tip jar) -They also have a soft serve ice cream machine, which my daughter loves. -Good location, just next to the public parking lot.
